Biography

Er. Bal Krishna Mishra did his B.Tech(Mechanical) from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur, in 1978. He subsequently joined his M.Tech(Mechanical) in 1978 in Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad (now Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad).
He began his career by joining Irrigation Department, Uttar Pradesh in 1980. He worked on several projects during his long stint in Irrigation Department. He worked on the World Bank Tubewell project from 1980 to 1990. The World Bank Tubewell project was funded by World Bank and was instrumental in installation of Tubewells for irrigation in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. He was also a part of the Indo-Dutch Tubewell project. The project was an Indo-German collaboration to boost irrigation infratructure in Uttar pradesh.
He retired from Irrigation Department, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2018 as an Engineer-in-Chief(Mechanical), Uttar Pradesh. During his approximately one year tenure as an Engineer-in-Chief, he focussed on completion of several projets related to construction of additional Tubewells in Uttar Pradesh, lift irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, and silt clearance of Ghagra river among others.
Post his retrirement, he founded the Sri Jai Kishore Mishra Shaikshik Kalyan Samiti and started S.M. Education Centre, Jhunsi, Prayagraj to spread quality education to the students at reasonable fees. Understading the need to spread computer education, he also started O Level course accredited by NIELIT in the year 2021. The SM Educaion Centre has only grown under his guidance as Director.
